Five standard matters in the selection

In today's age of elevated consumer expectations, the concept of consumption has evolved, reflecting a heightened emphasis on health and quality. As such, camellia oil, a distinct and premium woody oil native to China, is increasingly favored by discerning consumers.

Camellia oil is rich in oleic acid and an array of bioactive compounds, making it the most apt healthy edible oil for traditional Chinese cooking. Yet, with the market flooded with a myriad of camellia oil options, each with varying price points, many consumers find themselves at a crossroads, unsure of how to discern quality. To select premium camellia oil, consider the following criteria:

  1. Aroma: Quality camellia oil should be free from any burnt, rancid, or other off-putting odors.

  2. Flavor: Freshness is key. Superior camellia oil will have a smooth taste, complemented by a subtle, pleasant fragrance.

  3. Appearance: When exposed to sunlight or direct light, top-tier edible oil should be crystal clear, devoid of any haze, suspended particles, or impurities.

  4. Oleic Acid Content: As per Chinese standards, high oleic acid edible oils should boast an oleic acid content exceeding 75%. "QianDao Yuan" camellia oil, for instance, boasts an impressive average oleic acid content of 79.5%, and importantly, does not produce trans fatty acids upon heating.

  5. Extraction Process: "QianDao Yuan" camellia oil is a testament to precision, employing the advanced 5A cold pressing technology. Extracted at temperatures below 60°C, this ensures the oil retains its full nutritional profile.

By keeping these guidelines in mind, consumers can make informed choices, ensuring they reap the full benefits of genuine, high-quality camellia oil.
